One year ago I had an eye test at the high street national who say that is where we should go.I had a pair of varifocals which I returned in a matter of hours. Although this was not my first pair of varifocals I was told that I needed to adjust to them. I do drive and within 10 days I returned again complaining that I could't read a number plate within the required distance. I was told I needed a pair of single lens distance glasses which I duly bought.
This year I searched on the web for an independent optician and came across Eye Style.
From the moment I walked through their door I was amazed at the service par excellence . Offered tea or coffee served in nice cups with a saucer was just the beginning The eye test was more thorough than I had been used to with great care and efficiency.
Because the optician was so alarmed that I had been driving with the prescription of my old specs he advised me not to drive until I received my new glasses. Any accident would have resulted in the invalidation of my car insurance. He promised to order my new glasses and I would have them within 3 working days. Before I left the optician even had me try out the prescription BEFORE I paid any money and an order placed.
I collected my new glasses within 3 working days and I am delighted with them. I no longer look down when walking or think the pavement is rising towards me ! As a finishing flourish they even gave me some cleaner for my new glasses and told me to return for a free top up when used ! Now you don't get that at SHH you know who ! and price wise Eye Style are holding their own offering designer frames for the price I paid for run of the mill frames last year. They will even replace your old prescription with the new one into your existing frames. Now I call that excellent.
