This is one of the very best pubs in Nottingham. There is a traditional feel with a drinking area and a dining area on the ground floor. The bar staff are friendly and helpful and, for diners, the waiting staff are unobtrusively attentive. There is a good range of real ale beers, which are well-kept and the food menu is imaginative and changes from time to time. The food is of a high standard. Upstairs there is a further dining room which is available for private functions and as an overflow furing busy periods. The high demand for tables goes to show that there is an appreciative clientele who keep coming back for more.
