I got married here on the 18th April. We went back the next day to get our wedding cake to find it had been thrown away. They refused to take any responsibility for their cleaners throwing it, no compensation forthcoming. They ruined our special day. Linzi just kept hanging up on me every time I called to try and sort this. Our special day will always be tarnished by this venue and their staff !! Awful !! 07-05-17

Firstly, the floors were unclean and sawdust was still on the floor when we arrived. There were 3 tables still in the middle of the venue that we asked to be removed the day before. We asked for tea and coffee to be provided for the guests that were driving, this was not available until a few hours in. We spoke to management before we left and we were told that items left will be safe and that we could come to collect things the next day, as there is no way we could have taken everything back to our hotel that night in the taxi.

We arrived back about 6pm the next day and everything was locked up, we found someone on the farm over the fence and he let us in, this is when we found that our cake was missing, along with 6 bottles of wine and 2 bottles of personalised Prosecco. We called the management and the bar managers, and the caters etc to try to locate this. When we spoke to the venue manager that evening, we let her know that the cake was NOT anywhere to be found, and asked what would be done to rectify this, Lyndsey told me that I 'am crazy for leaving anything there' and hung up on me. When my wife spoke to her the next day, she didn't like what she was saying to her again and just 'hung up on her'.

We never even tasted our wedding cake.

This has left a sour taste in our mouths on what was suppose to be one of the happiest days of our life's.

I am in shock that any business in this day and age can actually do business in this manner. 21-04-17
