I love this jewellers. Although the shop is small, there is a wide range of stock at reasonable prices. The service is unfailingly polite, courteous, informative and, most important, priovided without any pressure to buy.   01-04-13

Long since closed down. It is hard to find an old fashioned gentlmens' outfitter but try Smalleys on Derby Road   01-04-13

As before but I intended to give 4 stars rather than only three. Five stars would perhaps overrate the comfort factor!   01-04-13

This pub is the brewery tap for Castle Rock Beer but retains its old fashioned atmosphere as a pub where the main objective is to serve good beer at reasonable prices. There is a wide range of real ale with a changing variety of gas beers. Food is basic but good. Not a place to for a sophisticated dining experience and little in the way of luxury in the surroundings but an excellent place to while away time with friends who like good beer and conversation.

The service at the bar is friendly and efficient. It is a pity there are not more pubs that go for excellent simplicity like this does. One free pint for every Castle Rock pint.

Also an interesting collection of malt whisky for those who like a dram.   01-04-13

This is one of the very best pubs in Nottingham. There is a traditional feel with a drinking area and a dining area on the ground floor. The bar staff are friendly and helpful and, for diners, the waiting staff are unobtrusively attentive. There is a good range of real ale beers, which are well-kept and the food menu is imaginative and changes from time to time. The food is of a high standard. Upstairs there is a further dining room which is available for private functions and as an overflow furing busy periods. The high demand for tables goes to show that there is an appreciative clientele who keep coming back for more.   01-04-13
