I took my car here to replace 2 front tyres which was done pretty quickly and efficiently. Jim Steel diagnosed my car problem, which required only a minor part to be changed. Other small garages such as Car Doctors (Wollaton Road) and Smiths Garages (Ellis Grove) tried to make me check the cam belt, incur towing charges, deeming my car unfit to drive, or to change the whole alternator which was not apparently required. Jim Steel seems like a more honest garage for sensible car owners living in the Beeston/Chilwell area.
