I did not even get to eat at The Vale. My mother lives in Nottingham and her 70th birthday is Xmas eve and she wanted to book a meal at The Vale. I am bringing my family over from France and tried to book. I was told it was company policy not to make bookings for <6 people (we are only 5). I do not know if this impersonal & unprofessional attitude is reflected on the rest of their customer service but I thought people should be aware.
