DressPlace Nottingham Reviews

I was absolutely thrilled with the dress and jacket in pure silk cobalt blue, with brightly coloured hand-painted abstract flowers, which I bought in the DressPlace for my daughter's wedding. The shop owner & her staff could not have been more helpful. I bought a beautiful matching blue hat which was the same price as a similar one in John Lewis. So many guests at the wedding complimented me on the outfit and, those who live locally asked where the shop is located.

mother of the bride dressess - very old fashioned; looks like there are a lot in stock but so very over priced, poor quality, not worth making an appointment to look. Very off putting to be told NOT to handle the stock either...you have to wait for the assistant for HER to choose and bring out dresses. You can get the same/similar in Debenhams at a fraction of the price. Where do they get these dresses from .... they are terrible... you wouldn't wear them to a fancy dress party let alone your daughter's wedding!

This is the company I placed my pre-loved Ian Stuart wedding dress. It was not sold and when I called to arrange to take it back I discovered it had been given to a charity shop. (This is in the pre-loved contract.) Dress Place claimed that only the day before I called had the dress left the premises in a consignment and gone to a local charity shop. I therefore was not worried as I thought it must either still be in transit or in the charity shops warehouse/storage. However, the charity shop claimed to receive a consignment but my particular wedding dress was not amongst the stock. The managers of both parties claim there was nothing either of them could do to help me. It is all very fishy. Just be extra careful with contracts and where your dress ends up. I have no idea where mine went. It was a pretty big dress and has just 'vanished.' I moved overseas and there is not a lot I can do from afar.
